Not trying to be weird or anything, but Lilly looks so odd to me because I've always seen it spelled Lily. Oh, and it's really funny how people refer to Lily still as Lily Evans even after she was married!!
"Voldermort in his father's old house" confused me. It seemed like it could have been Tom Riddle Sr. or Morfin Gaunt because it was unclear about whose house.
This is a really good quiz but I think that for Nearly Headless Nick you should also accept sir nicolas de mimsy popington. Thats what I was typing the whole time and it didn't accept it. Nearly headless nick is his nickname so I tyhink you should accept both answers
It doesn't mess up any of the answers, but in the last clue on the left column, you spelled Voldemort incorrectly by adding an extra R before the M. Just thought you might want to know.
During the flight from Privet Drive, Snape sent a curse flying, attempting to hit Moody's pursuer, because Snape was helping Harry's cause. It accidentally hit Moody, which caused him to fall from his broom and die.
This is incorrect, Snape accidentally hit George with his sectumspempra curse, blowing his ear off. Moody was killed when Voldemort went after him and Mundungus, and he either was hit by a curse or fell off his broom; it is unclear.
I've noticed that you have to answer in a specific order. Is there a chance that could be changed. i might know the answers to some that would come later, but not able to answer them before i reach them, which i will never do, because i can't answer them in order
Sirius died a full book after Cedric. All of the others technically died off-screen, except possibly Frank Bryce. Certainly, Cedric was the first death that Harry actively witnessed in the narrative.
I stand corrected on Sirius. No idea why I included him, I knew better. Harry was present at his mother's death and remembered bits of it although since she was covering him I suppose one couldn't actually say he witnessed it. I still don't think Cedric counts as the first one but it would have been interesting to include him since he was killed by Peter Pettigrew.
I didn't even think of animals as a possibility, I think that the instructions were slightly misleading as animals aren't usually referred to as characters
In the books, Sirius wasn't hit by a Killing curse. he was knocked into the veil by an unnamed curse and died that way. Otherwise Harry wouldn't have thought he'd pop out the other side.
I do think it's safe to assume that Moody was hit by a killing curse. Although it the book didn't explicitly state that, I feel as though Moody was probably powerful enough to use magic to survive a fall.
"Voldemort in his father's old house after he was spotted by Nagini." This hint really suffers from vague pronoun use; does "his" refer to the subject of the clue, or to Voldemort? (From the answer, I guess it's the latter.)
Fun quiz! My kids and I just made a new Harry Potter quiz - please check it out: https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/102112/harry-potter-by-the-numbers

No, but seriously, I love it when it's sly. Haha, you had me in stitches at 'too much lettuce'.
also: R.I.P. to every character mentioned on this quiz. excluding the flobberworms.
