hm... it was in the late 80s when Saget was cast on Full House and became famous. Then in the 90s he became host of America's Funniest Home Videos which became the most-watched show in the country - a high point for him career wise, a low-point artistically. Then in the 2000s he came back as a much funnier, raunchier version of himself doing stand-up. But everyone decided that was weird and so he sort of went away. In the 2010s he had a recurring bit in Entourage, wrote a book, did some charity work and other stuff.

He was a raunchy comic in the 80's as well. Not sure what the Full House producers saw in him, but whatever it was, they thought a very vulgar comic would make a good Danny Tanner, and they made him agree that for as long as he was on Full House, he wouldn't do his raunchy stuff. Once the show ended, he could finally go back to the ribald stuff that he started out with.

I used to watch that in reruns after school, along with Saved by the Bell, Who's the Boss, and Mr. Belvedere. Pretty dumb show.

ALF was always best when he put on a fedora and trenchcoat so he could walk around in disguise in public and thus somehow no one would notice his facial features.

Daisy's last name not accepted as a type-in? And when "MacGuyver" didn't work I wondered if there could possibly be another character that fit that description, but of course I was spelling it wrong.

Although it's obvious to whom you are referring in the Growing Pains question, Leonardo DiCaprio was on the show for an entire season and he was a teen hearthhrob.

McGyver carried a gun in the pilot....

I thought it funny knowning that it was Richard Dean Anderson's suggestion that Mac not carry a gun and except for the pilot didnt carry on. But when he starred in Stargate SG1 he carried a gun in every episode.
