Twisted Sister is definitely not a one-hit wonder. "I Wanna Rock" is one of the greatest rock anthems in the world!

I stand with dcmitchell. I don't know any other European songs (ha) but "The Final Countdown" was a good song.

The Final Countdown was one of the worst songs of all time in my opinion. Way too cheesy for me to handle.

Didn't Europe have a minor hit with "Rock the Night"? Regardless of the lyrics, you have to love the lead guitar on "The Final Countdown"

Dude, look at the quiz description. They explain it: "Technically, most of these groups had other hits. However, the vast majority people will know only their one song."

That's not the fault of the artists but the fans being ignorant.

I don't know about the USA, but in the UK and Australia A-HA had a load of hits: 'Take on Me', 'The Sun Always Shines on TV', 'Train of Thought', 'Hunting High and Low', 'Cry Wolf' and the theme to the Bond film 'The Living Daylights' spring to mind, and I didn't really like them.

Agreed that you could make a case that a few of these were not 1 hit wonders.

Twisted Sister, Europe, Devo: All had other hits. But to even put Survivor on this list ruins the quiz.

Never would have considered Twisted Sister as a one-hit wonder. Pretty sure I had a couple of TS tapes (that's what we had before CDs, young ones).

Keep in mind that some of this generation was born into the post-CD age (mp3 players, iTunes, etc.).

Several of these aren't one hit wonders. Soft Cell and Dexy's spring to mind immediately. The former being one of the best selling singles groups of the early 80s

completely agree. I must defend Flock of Seagulls. I think of their songs and I Ran is not even in the top 3. Such an icon of alternative and they even had multiple hits on the pop charts. I'm not even a huge fan and I know this.

NONE of these were one hit wonders. ALL of them had other charting singles in the HOT 100/Top 40....but for your purposes, I see what you meant. The 2 that break this rule more than the others are DEVO (several chart hits and an actual career....and Survivor who had 8 Top 40 Hts, 5 of which were TOP 10!!!)

You can argue that Europe, Flock of Seagulls, Dexys midnight runners, Falco etc are one hit wonders. I will not accept but you can try. But.... Soft Cell? Give me a break. Devo has had one of the most devoted fan base in the world for over 4 decades, which hardly fills the bill of a one hit wonder. And on this list we have 2 of the biggest music acts of the eighties: A-HA and Survivor filled stadiums for years and have both sold over 100 million albums. If that is being a one hit wonder then that would be enough for me :)

Gotta agree this quiz needs a rethink as to what a one hit wonder really is - the clue's in the title BTW. Soft Cell? Apart from Tainted Love, there was...Say Hello, Wave Goodbye (#3 UK), Bedsitter (#4 UK), Torch (#2 UK) as well as having many of their songs covered by major artists. I was looking for things like Joe Dolce (Shaddapayourface) and other comedy type one-hits.

Notice how all of your supposed "hits" only charted in the UK. This is based on the USA, I think
