Yemen, Oman, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Thailand, Bangladesh, Madagascar, Seychelles, Comoros and Mauritius (you know, countries that are IN THE INDIAN OCEAN!!!), Mozambique, South Africa, Kenya, Somalia, Eritrea and Djibouti — because, apparently bordering the Red Sea is the same as bordering the Indian Ocean, so Israel and Jordan also should be included, And by extension, the rule should therefore apply to the Persian Gulf, which would include Iraq and Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, and UAE.

Did you even bother to look at a map when you made this quiz?

This quiz would be better if you didn't count the seas.

What about the South China Sea, Timor Sea etc etc.

Does this mean that the Indian Ocean itself is just part of the larger Pacific ocean?

Sorry quiz too open to interpretation not a good quiz!

Seems odd to me that this quiz is about the surface area of the country and not about the length of its coastline.

You would be correct. That is why you see sq. km listed as the determinative factor, else you would have seen km w/o the square added.

Very obscure quiz that should be better defined. How Egypt is included has baffled me.

Sure it's not well defined if you don't read the description. Marginal seas.

Love the formatting. At first I assumed it was sorted by area and was baffled why Bangladesh and Maldives didn't work, but it was pretty simple once I figured it out.

A lot of the confusion comes from the fact that some people don't know how an ocean is defined, or that all seas are part of an ocean. Great quiz!
