That's the Roman name. Heracles is the Greek name. Both answers are accepted.

Oidipous and Achilleus should be accepted as alternate Greek spellings

That's strange that so few people know about Eris. Maybe I just watched too much Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

It should be spelled Herakles actually. Both Hercules and Heracles are latinized

Why surely you mean it should be spelled "Ἡρακλης" if you don't want it Latinized. ;) But yeah, I guess "Herakles" does look more like the standard Romanization for Greek words.

There's actually a religion centered around Eris now, discordianism. It's a lot of fun, really.

didnt percius kill the minotaur?
May 29, 2012  delete  reply
Perseus killed Medusa and saved Andromeda. Theseus killed the minotaur.
Jul 5, 2012  delete  reply
I tried Perseus like three times. I knew he killed Medusa, but i thought he used her decapitated head to turn the Minitaur into stone...I got Theseus eventually, but I thought the same thing as you.

The only reason I knew Theseus is because in ELA we have to read A Midsummer Night's Dream.
