They are, Wiggedy; spread is margarine, mash is short for mashed potato, a roll is a bun, and paste is another word for paté :)

Malbaby, what deprived childhood did you live that you never experienced the tepid joy of a Dum Dum lollipop? Every kid's least favorite Halloween candy.

I've never heard the word 'doughnut' used to describe "360 degree spin-out in a car." I've always heard the term 'cookie' for that.

I'm pretty sure a donut isn't a spin out, rather drifting in a circle around something. So that the skid marks on the ground (from the sliding wheels) leaves a donut shaped ring on the pavement. I've never heard the term cookie used for anything relating to a car.

I don't know. That's just what I've grown up hearing for a sliding 360 in a car.

To bean someone in baseball requires them to be hit in the head. So the definition should read to hit the batter in the head with the pitch.

In 1979 when the Susan B. Anthony dollar was issued I thought that she looked like Granny from The Beverly Hillbillies. That could be viewed as a politically incorrect statement if you didn't know that Granny was my third favorite character on the show, just ahead of Ellie May and Jethro, but behind Jed Clampett and Mr. Drysdale.
