No, when you take them out of the microwave they are either steaming hot or still frozen.

Tried "Hot Shot" like 10 times... maybe accept it without the plural?

I would agree. If Hot Shot was the name of the movie. It's not.

Surely "Hot tub" should be accepted for geothermal pool?

There are way more hot tubs that are not geothermal.

I wrote hot cross bun instead of hot cross buns.

Snap, though I eventually tried it in plural form. I think the singular version should be an accepted type in.

Hot stuff, a Donna summer hit. Also good to balance the perceived US-centrism :)

Gack! For "Californicators", I kept thinking of the David Duchovny TV show, figuring it was some in-joke there (having never seen it), while *totally* blanking on the source of the namesake! DERP.

I can't even begin to express my frustration over it not being "hot crossed buns." I typed it so many different ways. Including the archaic Hot Cross'd Buns.

Never heard of hot pockets. What culinary delight are we British missing out on now ?!

Hot Pockets are a brand of pastry stuffed with fillings such as pepperoni pizza or chicken pot pit. Think of a burrito made with pie crust instead of a tortilla. They come frozen and can be microwaved or baked in the oven.

The clue about them being frozen or boiling hot comes from a Jim Gaffigan stand up routine about the tendency of the pocket to be unevenly heated. This is due to the thing's density and the fact that they are frozen, so while the moisture on the outer layer of pocket melts at room temperature and heats up very quickly the ice inside does not absorb microwave radiation in the same way and can stay frozen. So if you don't follow the directions carefully you end up biting in to blocks of cheese ice surrounded by pools of tomato lava. It's a good time.

Strange, I always preferred Hot Wheels. So, I would have thought that Matchbox was the alternative to Hot Wheels, not the other way around! Which one was actually more popular?

You should really accept hot cross buns without the plural, otherwise a good quiz.

I've now missed "Red Hot Chili Peppers" on both the "Things that are red" AND "Things that are hot" quiz. Waiting for the "Things that are chili" quiz so I can continue my ineptitude. Lol
