Interesting that South Sudan is on the list, but not Sudan. I had thought the Southern portion was more inhabited/inhabitable. Time to go do some reading...

Great quiz (and didn't score very high on it so I have some learning to do!) but when I typed in Democratic Republic of the Congo, which I assume is the right answer, it put Republic of the Congo in the answer column instead.
DR Congo and Republic of the Congo are two different countries, so just be careful with that.

I don't get why Denmark isn't on here. A lot of these quizzes take into account that it owns Greenland, so why doesn't this one?

seems to me like most of these quizzes do *not* count Greenland as part of Denmark. I can't even remember one that did.

Surprised that Iceland is so high on the list, and that Algeria doesn't make it on at all.

Now we know what countries need to sell some land, such as Mongolia or Russia could sell some to China, which is crowded....

China isn't that crowded in certain places and the land in Russia and Mongolia that is free isn't really any more habitable than the land in China that isn't being used.

If the trend of global warming continues this will change, though... in the coming decades or centuries an enormous amount of virtually unoccupied arable land is going to open up in northern Russia and Canada. Meanwhile many countries closer to the equator like China are going to become much less habitable and have difficultly sustaining their populations, having to import large amounts of food and water from elsewhere.
