Shoulda had Faulk. Glad I came up with Madden, he was on it every year at the beginning.

Adrian Peterson & Sanders split the Madden 25 cover. Peterson is on the cover for Xbox One/PS4, Sanders is on the cover for 360/PS3.

Barry Sanders joined John Madden on the cover of the original release of Madden 2000. Sanders was later replaced by Dorsey Levens.

I am happy to say I have never heard of any of them, or this magazine = 0%

Not hearing about Favre is like ignoring the news.

Maybe you don't know how to read as well. It specifically says video game. Not magazine. Why would you be happy to say that? If you're happy because you have no interest in football, why would you take the quiz in the first place?

It's always annoying to hear people bragging about not knowing something. Even if the subject matter has no relevance to world events or anything politically or socially important, why would someone be proud of their ignorance?

I am not proud of my ignorance, I'm giving it as an excuse for doing so poorly - 6/18. I knew Vick, Madden, and Sanders, but guessed Johnson and Young by entering random names. I watch the Superbowl with my husband and that's about it for my pro football experience, although being from Missouri I remembered Faulk.

I agree. "Never heard of So-and-so. Very proud of that" is such an ignorant and obnoxious thing to say.

I'm with you brother. Got all my answers from the comments... except for "Madden" lol. I find it annoying that they feature the sports or fandom quizzes. Like they only appeal to specific people, so points-hungry users just have to groan and beat their head into it.

Love this quiz but, I remember Dorsey Levens was on the cover of the 2000 PS version (in the UK at least), although Madden was the key figure on previous versions.

Previous versions, that is, except for Madden 96 where space was given to a shot from the Panthers v Jaguars Hall of Fame game (it was their expansion year).

Obscure football trivia, the featured players were Panthers #40 Cary Brabham and Jaguars #40 cetainly looks like Le'Shai Maston (who would wear #35 the rest of the season).

I remember that Hillis had one great year and Culpepper had a few pretty good years. The rest are legitimate superstars, except Vince Young. Did he ever even have a decent year in the NFL? I recall he was an all-time great college player, but wasn't he awful every single season of his pro career, and out of the league after only a few seasons? Was he put on the cover as a rookie?

Hillis was voted in as an internet joke, despite him being very good the previous year.

I wonder what the highest-rated Madden is, my favorite is Madden 12

Last one I played was Madden 2004. Michael Vick was unstoppable. You just dropped back and then ran around in the backfield until a wide receiver got wide open or you saw a lane for a 20 yard run. To make him less overpowered, the game developers made him fumble pretty much every time he got hit or dove.

Honest question - how are these selected? Young, Culpepper, Vick? But no Manning, Rodgers?
