I cannot believe I missed Kyle...

Except Cartman, most don;t think in terms of the character's last names. Probably would have been easier if the clue had been just "Kyle."

I never even knew Kyle from South Park HAD a last name.

Level 82

It's mentioned in the show all the time. Eric Cartman, Kyle Broflovski, Stan Marsh, Kenny McCormack, Wendy Testaburger, Token Black, Jimmy Valmer, Butters Stotch...

🎶It's Butters🎵

Perfect Strangers hahahaha, that was so cheesy
+1
Level 48
Apr 21, 2014
That was my favorite show! And they were all cheesy.

Level 48

Some of these shows are still on the air. Wouldn't consider someone "memorable" until the show isn't on anymore.

It makes me sad that nobody watches Law & Order.

I do occasionally, but I really don't remember the guy's name! I don't think I ever paid attention to that.. :D

Level 75

I watched it, but I didn't remember the name of the detective. I would have gotten it if Sam Waterston had been the clue.

Shocked and saddened that you accept that dreck '3s company' for Mr. Roper, but not the all-time classic "the ropers"
+1
Level 37

Saying nothing about the quality of either... but the Ropers was the spin-off, I would go with the original first as well.

Some of these shows aren't American. Pokemon is Japanese, and The Smurfs is Belgian.

And the most famous Mr Roper here in Oz was George of "George and Mildred" and "Man About the House" from the UK. They probably did a US version?

Tried George and Mildred too.

The Smurfs TV show, though based on the Belgian comic, was created by an American company, for an American market.

Yup. Pokemon is not American by any stretch of the imagination. Although, I'm not American, so I don't know if they've made some kind of a copy of the original show.

still gets played on American TV, though.

I'd been staring at the picture for a finished quiz, hit 'Random Quiz' and the next thing I know... Oh hello Captain Picard! Scared me half to death at first.

Is it so weird that I tried 'Doctor Who' for 'Fez'?... well, from the way Matt Smith acts, the fez might as well be a character. A recurring character.

I'm from the UK so didn't do well, but great idea for a quiz, Big Bang is the best thing on tv

Only got 6, and am quite proud that's all I knew. Not a single character from M*A*S*H, All in the Family, Good Times, Rockford Files, Sanford & Son or the best sitcom nobody's ever heard of, When Things Were Rotten? Seriously?

I'm guessing you might even remember It's About Time and My Favorite Martian? (People seem to only remember the theme song from It's About Time, and I still get it in my head occasionally.) This is the fourth quiz in this series, so maybe some of your favorites are in previous ones.

Another guy proud of their own ignorance. Every example listed is from the 70s. So it would seem someone is not only just ignorant but also living in the past. You're missing out.

Why isn't Gilligan's Island on here
+1
Level 66
Dec 7, 2017
Because none of the characters listed were from that show? There are at least three other quizzes in this series, surely someone from Gilligan's Island must be on one of them.

Balki man i remember him now but must not have thought of it for atleast 20 years. I cant have been much older than 10 when i watched it. Kinda reminds me a bit of friends from what i remember from it. Friends and coming over to their appartment.

For an actor who famously improvised Eddie Murphy speechless in Beverly Hills Cop, Balki just sucked.

I don't think Pokémon belongs on a quiz about American TV characters, unless you count being dubbed by an American voice cast as making the show American...
