This titles are for Spain only, Home Alone was translated as "Mi Pobre Angelito (My Poor Little Angel)" in Latin america, twins is just "Gemelos", Dances with wolves "Danza Con Lobos", The Hangover was not translated and Back to the future was translated as "Volver al futuro"

I can't believe I was thinking "The Father" and "The Green Mill" and yet I didn't guess either of those...

I would think "casa de animales" would be a better translation for "Animal House"

Yep, only Spain, as Marcelo said. It would be a better translation, yes. And certainly, "Los gemelos golpean dos veces" is kind of a weird tranlsation.

@ctleng76, you might be right, but the movie isn't about a house, it's about a college. :) Anyway, I got 16/24 of these, and I don't know a word of Spanish. Woot.

while its about a college, its named animal house because of fraternity houses...but anyways, the point isn't translating word for word, because thats not what languages do.

it looks like some sort of translation program was used for this...there are much better ways to phrase most of those movies. And "los gemelos golpean dos veces" is probably the most awkward translation I've ever seen haha

I live in Spain and I'm starting to understand the logic (or lack thereof) in the movie titles. For example "Los gemelos golpean dos veces" translates literally to "Twins knock twice," which I'm guessing is a play on the old film "The postman always rings twice." They tend to reference "classic" films in newer comedy titles.

I actually tried "the postman always rings twice" for the twins. I was a little thrown at first until I realized that the titles were translations of American or British movies.
