I have never seen Memento, and had never heard of it before taking these quizzes, but because it is used so frequently, I was able to get it this time around because of the Polaroid clue. Surprised to not see Trainspotting on here. Another Jetpunk favorite.

Oh my gosh, I was floored by the Cool Hand Luke one! As a kid, my dad loved that movie, and I never shook the idea that he was the only person who had ever seen it. haha

The first time I took this quiz that was the only one I missed. Had never seen it. But I saw it in the intervening five years; got it this time.

Nice mix of films here. If you're bored, you should YouTube the compilation of Nicolas Cage's "best" scenes from The Wicker Man. It is clinical study in ridiculousness.

We don't talk about THAT Wicker man

If you're going to reference "The Wicker Man", why not use the Edward Woodward one? You know, the one that wasn't a total joke and was an actual thriller?

Yeah - the original with Edward Woodward and Christopher Lee is one of the most imaginative horror films ever made.

Wow, didn't know either film existed. iMDb and RT have the 1973 original at 7.5 and 89% and the 2006 remake at 3.7 and 15%. Is it really that bad in and of itself or is it a case of being an emotional reaction to a bad remake of a cult classic?

I had just watched the Midsomer Murders episode "The Straw Woman" and all I could think of for this movie was The Straw Man. Once again I lead myself to water but could not take a drink.

I know it's a James Bond movie and someone's painted gold. Goldeneye? nope. Hmm... Other James Bond movies that have "gold" in them... Man with the Golden Gun? No, damn. Maybe it's not James Bond? I give up. (So close!)

Why do some quizzes accept "BTTF" and some don't?

I really think it oughta be Britt Ekland instead of Cage in that clue...

Problem is, the Nicolas Cage version is arguably more well-known, even if it's not any better than the original, mostly thanks to that infamous bee scene.

Thought of Goldfinger immediately, but kept typing Goldmember, wondering why it wouldn't work. Dammit Austin Powers!

Isn't Babe set in England, not Australia? The book was set in England. The film was produced and filmed in Australia, but I think it's still meant to be set in England.

I had to look it up. Correct, the novel was set in England, but "A production decision was taken early on not to locate the film in any specific country or area, and the use of accents reflects this." The accents and production design are intentional mixes of British, Australian, and American rural life. So, I suppose the clue works since it was filmed in Australia, but probably a different clue would be better, such as Hoggett or sheep. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0112431/faq?ref_=tt_faq_1#fq0090175
