I'm pretty sure that both the koala and Tasmanian devil are marsupials, not mammals.

marsupials are mammals.

@Gigano Marsupials are still mammals. Koalas are an order of mammals known as marsupialia, or marsupials.

Are they, @420anaitor? C: I didn't know that, I'm an East Coast girl.

And yeah, gotta agree with Greg here. Mammals are classified as having live births, which marsupials do. Basically everything is a mammal except for birds and reptiles and amphibians, unless I'm mistaken. ^^;;

darkseraphim21: mammals are animals with mammary glands, or glands that give milk. Some fish and reptiles have "live births" and that wouldnt necessarily make them a mammal, would it?
2011-05-11 | reply
acer9199
Meercat should be accepted. It's an easy and common mispelling. If you see the word meercat, you would surely know I was talking about meerkats, right?

It might not be a bad idea to find a better picture of a shrew. From that angle it could be any rodent.

You should let opossum be spelled with two p's. I realize misspelling are probably not the best to accept, but I could swear that when I was a kid we were spelling it with two p's. Was it ever changed from two to one I wonder?
