Catapult shouldn't be accepted for trebuchet. They're different. (I know people will ask.)
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Yes! they are so different.

I agree too. I actually shouted out "Trebuchet!" with glee in my voice when I saw it.

CorkSpork
I'll give you that they're different, but a trebuchet is a type of catapult. Then again, that's like saying "pinniped" when it should actually be sea lion....
Dec 28, 2012  delete  reply
lol, yeah they are different, but i put in catapult anyway. WHOOPS
May 21, 2013  delete  reply
rubber should be accepted for eraser as they are called rubbers in lots of countries
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Quizmaster
Rubber will work now. It sounds very funny to American ears. :)
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
Indeed. For those who don't know, in the USA "rubber" is out-of-date slang for a condom.

That coffee filter whatever you wanna call it looks exactly like a patty pan. I think you should accept that.

I thought it was a muffin cup

Same here - tried Cupcake Case and Frilly case Looks more like that than a coffee filter!
Aug 15, 2012  delete
You need to accept Rubber for eraser and Granny's teeth for staple remover
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
foz
Can you also accept pestle & mortar for mortar & pestle please
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Agreed. Stupid that it has to be in that order.

Quizmaster
Okay, okay, I'll allow it. It sounds so wrong, but fine.
May 21, 2013  delete
The coffee filter looks a lot like a bun case - the should also be accepted.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
What the heck is a bun case?
Feb 15, 2013  delete  reply
plattitude
bun case is another name for muffin liner, cupcake wrapper, etc.

"cadbury egg" should work
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Quizmaster
That will work now.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
The coffee filter definitely looks like a cupcake liner.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
that's what i tried first.
May 16, 2013  delete  reply
Also known as a baking cup.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Yes the coffee filter without anything to scale it looks just like a cupcake liner, I tried cupcake______ everything.

Had to miss one because I spelled it "rikshaw" rather than "rickshaw".
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Linksys Wireless Connection should work for the "Router."
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
yocoy
Are you serious? How about Apple Wireless Digital Music Library or Mr Coffee Disposable Filtration System?
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
what i meant was that just wireless connection should work. my bad for the linksys part. btw, is it the end of the world that i said "Linksys" because that is how you acted!
Jun 7, 2012  delete
I must agree with Kuta12... Yocoy, you acted a little irrational in relation to this situation.
Jul 20, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
I'm totally with yocoy on this one. Get real.
Feb 15, 2013  delete  reply
IMO muffin cup/cupcake holder and pestle and mortar
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Gah! Neither mortar nor pestle alone works.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
BestLoser
Why should cupcake liner be accepted if that's not what it is? You don't see me saying that "weird looking oar" should be accepted for cricket bat.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
+1 Agreed. Oh, but shouldn't "thing that kills rats" be accepted too?
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
+2 Agreed.
Feb 15, 2013  delete  reply
Wow, 18/20. Did a lot better at this one than the other ones.

Damn, I thought that it was a pestle and mortar, but it turned out to be a mortar and pestle. (pestle and mortar really should work)
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
I got 19/20. What in the world is a rickshaw?
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
hana
It's a means of conveyance pulled by a human rather than a horse, mule, etc.
Jul 7, 2012  delete  reply
a rickshaw in south asia is different to what a rickshaw is in the western countries

I thought the coffee filter was a muffin paper. It was hard to tell since there was no way to judge the size.
Jun 6, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
Am I the only one who could tell that it was a coffee filter by the angle of the sides and the size of the folds and the color of the paper?? Come on, "cupcake liner" peoples.

Seems like "mp3 player" should be accepted for iPod. I could immediately tell that's what it was, but I wasn't sure of the brand as it's not the one I own.
Jun 7, 2012  delete  reply
I tried pestle and mortar but it wasnt accpeted whereas mortar and pestle is.... think both should be accepted.

I learned from Alton Brown that the real name of an ice cream scoop is a "disher". I tried that first to see if it would work. It should because that is the actual name of the utensil. Quote for wikipedia on the topic: "In the technical terms used by the food service industry and in the retail and wholsale food utensil industries, there is a clear distinction between two types of scoop: the disher, which is used to serve ice cream, measure a portion e.g. cookie dough, or to make melon balls; and the scoop which is used to measure or to transfer an unspecified amount of a bulk dry foodstuff such as rice, flour, or sugar."

That's a mellon baller, not an ice cream scoop
Jun 27, 2012  delete  reply

I've never seen a melon baller with a sweep arm thing in it before, or one that makes GIANT melon balls.
Jul 7, 2012  delete  reply
Nyneve922
I tried "melon baller" first too. I have definitely seen melon ballers with that spring-loaded thing.
Feb 15, 2013  delete  reply
The first time I did the quiz, I tried "Pestle and mortar" but it isn't accepted.

I knew that the ipod is an ipod but mp3 player should also be acceptable because I used to have one before i got my ipod that looked very similar to the ipod. just saying
Nov 20, 2012  delete  reply
yes!
May 21, 2013  delete  reply
It's really a wireless access point, though most consumers would call it a router. In any case "wireless access point" should be acceptable. Baking cup or variations should not be accepted for coffee filter. If you look closely you see that you cannot confuse it for a baking cup because of the way it's creased.

pestle and mortar didn't work. it definitely should. might have been a typo but i dont think so
May 10, 2013  delete  reply
Wouldn't accept "pestle and mortar" fix that
May 21, 2013  delete  reply
eragonn9
I got it eventually, but you should accept "melon baller" for the ice cream scoop. I have a set with the exact same design, just smaller.
Jun 15, 2013  delete  reply
Should accept cupcake tin for coffee filter.
