He does, MJ isn't the best in scoring, he's just usually qualified as the best because of total stats and how he played, not just because of scoring.

Though Jordan and Lebron both show up lower on this list than would be expected, because this is points for one team. Jordan scored another 3,000 with the Wizards, and Lebron scored another 8,000 with the Heat plus 1,500 with the Lakers.

If you are going to make such a point to say Thunder/Sonics, shouldn't you do the same with Wizards/Bullets, Royals/Kings and Hornets/Pelicans? Elvin Hayes never played for the Wizards, and the Hornets are officially the Pelicans. Oscar Robertson never played for a Kings team, he played for the Royals. ... Be consistent.

The issue for me is that the Hornets listed by themselves is actually the Bobcats/Hornets, which Dell Curry never played for, he played for the franchise that move to New Orleans. Likely leading scorer would be Gerald Wallace or Kemba Walker or something like that. Unless the Hornets and Pelicans have some sort of thing where the new Hornets took over the franchise history of the Pelicans.
+1
Level 44

This confused me as well, but I figured it out. The new Hornets, which were originally the terrible Bobcats, kept the old Hornets' franchise history, while the Hornets/Pelicans have an entirely new history.

You want to blow someone's mind? Ask them who the 2nd greatest NBA scorer of all time is. After they guess Jordan, Kareem, Chamberlain, and probably a half dozen others, you tell them that it's Karl Malone. Every person that I have told this to, regardless of how much basketball knowledge they have, didn't know, and furthermore were visually shocked. Poor Karl Malone...never getting credit for his insane career only because he never won a ring and because his style of play wasn't "sexy."

You have all of the still active players in bold, except for Dwight Howard? Granted he is not still on the Magic, but he IS still an active player for the Hawks. I probably would have guessed Howard if the Magic was in bold. Instead I figured Howard wasn't the guy since he IS still active.

I realize that it says so in the rules, but who really reads the rules when they are in a rush to get all of the players while the clock is ticking? I think the rule should be changed to bold ALL active players, regardless of if they are still on the team that they lead in points.

Seems as if every time I do a basketball quiz and David Robinson and Oscar Robertson are both answers, their last names are accepted as type-ins for one another. Seems pretty ridiculous. Entirely separate people, played in different eras, different teams, their last names aren't that obscure and their last names aren't that similar that they would be mistaken very often.
