I had "bill cash" in mind for some reason and typed that. Accidentally typed a random sequence of maybe two-three letters on top of that and got Benjamin Netanyahu off the back of it. How strange.

Not on here anymore, but I know it was Brian Eno (though I'm not sure whether he is Brian or Bryan). I sincerely hope that neither ABBA nor Zoolander replaced it (the two I missed).

Babe Ruth is not his real name. It's George Herman Ruth Jr.

Yeah, so? That's true of lots of different historical figures. Stalin, for example, was Ioseb Besarionis dzе Jughashvili.

I enjoyed this quiz but as always, I bemoan that nearly all the answers are from pop-culture, sports, or politics. Would be nice to see a few answers from the fields of science, literature, art, etc.

I notice this on TV quiz shows as well as on quiz sites such as jetpunk. The questions have slowly become less and less on general knowledge of an educational worth to the over preponderance of questions regarding movies, pop culture, cartoons and comics. Maybe with the advent of mobile phones, computers, laptops, virtual reality games etc. people are not reading books anymore, and have no reason to learn anything because as a friend of mine says " I can look it up"....... it is a shame though I think.

A minor correction – David Bowie judged the 'walk-off' in 'Zoolander'. Billy Zane was present, supporting Derek, but did not judge the competition.

I just retried it with uvula, which doesn't work. I may have remembered that.

That ‘Sultan of Swat’ clue is bloody tricky for those of us not from north America. The sport in question has virtually no presence in Europe and whilst I knew the answer when I saw it, I have never heard him referred to by those nicknames. I dare say I’m not alone.

Google nGram suggests you're wrong on that one Algernon. Babe Ruth appears plenty in published works of British English since the 1920s, more so than many famous soccer players. In fact, Babe Ruth appears more commonly in British English than Diego Maradona for the past few decades. I'd think this suggests that Babe Ruth was famous worldwide, not just in the USA. I can also say that I've never mentioned Babe Ruth to a Canadian adult who didn't know who I was talking about.

Not arguing about who Babe Ruth was, yes his name and association with Baseball is worldwide knowledge. Agree with Algernon about rest of world, I knew exactly who Babe Ruth was and his connection to Baseball, I just couldn't connect those nicknames I'd never heard before to baseball. I would have had that in seconds if it said something like Baseball legend in the same way Brucey was connected to Martial Arts.
