Portmanteaus Quiz

I got 32/41. Some of these I've never even heard of such as toonie. Some I didn't even know were portmanteaus such as Tanzania.

A toonie is the two-dollar Canadian coin (the loonie is the one-dollar coin).

well as it states Tanzania was created when Tanganyika and Zanzibar(two independent states) united in 1964.

32 here as well. Never heard of Cosplay or Pluot.

What on earth is "Permafrost"?

gecko - exactly what it sounds like.....permanent frost....ice/snow that never melts, like at the tops of mountains in cold climates......kind of like a glacier, but in much smaller form

@GeckoIX; It's actually soil that is permanently frozen, not ice/snow. You can have permafrost without ice & snow. A.k.a. cryotic soil.

by the way permafrost eaqules frost heaves especialy in alaska if a road has tones of frost heaves in it get ready for areally bumpy ride

@ctleng76 cosplay is when you dress up like your favorit character from a show or book. It stands for costume play and is vary well known in japan and is alot of the time done for anime or manga. Im a HUGE cospalyer.
