Got all but the "hang loose" symbol. FYI, this is also the ASL letter 'y' and maybe the Longhorn symbol. Guessed both of those. Also, "call me."

not the longhorn symbol...hang loose uses the thumb whereas longhorn doesn't...it uses the index finger instead of the thumb

I think skilletbrew is right--that's what I thought first. Kept putting quadrilateral for parallelogram.:P

I also tried quadrilateral as well as rhomboid before getting parallelogram.

When I visited Hawaii, everyone made the hang loose sign and said "Mahalo" so I thought it was the Mahalo sign.

I kept trying "hook 'em horns" and "Texas" and "longhorns" and..... ;>)

I lived in Hawaii 4 years. "Mahalo" means "Thank you." The hand symbol pictured is called the "shaka." I've also heard it used as surfer lingo for both "hang loose" and "hang ten." I tried hang ten at first, but then came back to it at the end and it accepted shaka.

Wow. 4% of everyone who took this quiz don't know what a circle is. What is this world coming to?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peace_symbols
The internationally recognized symbol for peace (☮) was originally designed for the British nuclear disarmament movement by Gerald Holtom in 1958.[49] Holtom, an artist and designer, made it for a march from Trafalgar Square, London to the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment at Aldermaston in England

good quiz - but "biohazard" is NOT the only name that symbol is known by. I went through almost a dozen other medical and infectious disease terms that also use that symbol, including sharps. A bit of leeway here? "Medical Waste", "Toxic", "Infectious Waste" ...
Jul 7, 2012 delete reply
revnecro1273
biohazard is the most common for this symbol...how you came up with others before others is kind of baffling
Jul 10, 2012 delete reply
Khenir
because there are lots of terms used in movies and stuff that aren't biohazard.

How does "rhombus" not work for the rhombus...? It should be accepted even more so than parallelogram.
Jul 10, 2012 delete reply
tscomeau36
Rhombus has four equal sides....check the shape again. Its OK, we all forget fourth grade.
Feb 22, 2013 delete reply
Mithol
Damn I tried rhombus and it didn't work. You should definitely accept that.
Jul 11, 2012 delete reply

It's definitely not a rhombus. All the sides are not of equal length. Sheesh.

Can you accept 'anarchist' for anarchy.. if so, I got 100%. BTW: Quadrilateral - closed 2 D shape with 4 sides; Trapezoid - closed 2 d shape with 1 pair of parallel sides; parallelogram - closed 2 D shape with 2 pairs of parallel sides equal in length; rhombus - closed 2 D shape with all 4 sides equal in length; square - closed 2 d shape with all 4 sides equal in length and at 90 degree angles

I agree with a lot of the people here that the "hang Loose" should also be given a Hang Ten right answer, because a lot of people use that symbol for both.
