I know about 7 outright, then typed as many states, countries and big cities that seemed to make sense as I could and got an additional 7. Not too bad.

Tupelo Honey is not named for the town in MS, it's named for the tree from which the honey is made. "She's as sweet as tupelo honey'

Interesting point, but I don't think it should disqualify the clue (it's "Songs with Places in the Title," not "Songs Named for Places," after all).

Also: honey from a tree?

Honey from the blossoms of a tree - yes, absolutely. Many trees are food sources for honey bees. Perhaps you're familiar with orange blossom honey.

Nat King Cole? I would have thought the Ella Fitzgerald version is more prevalent, or maybe Frank Sinatra.

Little Old Lady From Pasadena is by Jan and Dean, not the Beach Boys. They were a contemporary of the Beach Boys who did surf-style vocal pop. Some of their hits were co-written by Brian Wilson
