Cool quiz, but Jaws is not set off the coast of Maine. The book is set off the coast of Long Island and the film was shot off the coast of Martha's Vinyard in Massachusetts. I got the answer correct anyway due to the clue, but still, Jaws has nothing to do with Maine.

Wait, QM, no – I think you read that backwards. Jaws was indeed *filmed* in Massachusetts, but it was *set* in Long Island. I assume you want your clues to be about the movie's plot, not its production, right?

"In the book, Amity is located on Long Island, New York. The movie itself was filmed in Martha's Vineyard in Massachusetts and the boats used in the film contain the state registration abbreviation of "MS" which also indicates Massachusetts."

Snark is all well and good, but most people would have heard of M, Ran, 8MM, 42 and others...A.I., Hook, Red...

Sorry pweent. At least anecdotally, I'm with QM. Never heard of M, 9, 10, Ben, Ran, Heat, Love, or 1776 (though I could guess what a few of them might be about). 8MM got fair exposure in the US, but I couldn't tell you what it was about, and 42 I think was the Jackie Robinson movie.

I'm sure QM knows there are others that could potentially be on here.

42 is the Jackie Robinson movie that came out a few years ago. Not very good. Heat is, by far, the best-known of that lot. It's a Michael Mann movie from the 90's, starring Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. It did well at the box office, and it's an awesome movie. Not sure why it doesn't show up on cable these days. I know some of the others pweent mentioned, but I'd deem them too obscure for the quizzes.

Heat was quite a hit. I'd agree about others sadly not being so well known. M and If... are must see classics.

?? I've heard of all of those movies except I think for "Love." One is a famous film starring Al Pacino and Robert DeNiro. One was a big-production Nick Cage vehicle. One a famous film with Dudley Moore and Bo Derek. Another starred Harrison Ford. Not exactly super obscure.

I thought waking up inside the body of a fully grown man meant he was literally inside another person. Misleading. What about E.T.?

I'm confused by Pi. Only one mathematician was driven insane in that movie. And Pi is 216 digits? Should be infinite...
