20/22 - apparently living 15 miles from one of them wasn't enough for me to lose the notion that it is not a "top" city.

18/22 I was just guessing, never having been to America and all. But I always forget to guess Cleveland. I ran out of time though going through all the cities I could think of, so who knows, maybe I'd have remembered it this time. But I've never even heard of the others: Jersey City, Mobile and Charlotte.

You've never heard of Charlotte, NC?
2011-11-07 | reply
My bad. I just realized you've never been to the States. 18/22 is impressive, especially for someone not from the US.

Charlotte, North Carolina is big (I don't live anywhere near). It's the biggest between Philadelphia and Jacksonville. Check out this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population

Charlotte isn't really the biggest, as cities are really judged by metro area, not just inner-city size, which makes Jacksonville far smaller. Jacksonville and Charlotte, metro-wise, are smaller than (between the Jacksonville and Philly), Philly, Baltimore, Washington, and Atlanta. What Charlotte IS big as, though, is the biggest city from Washington to Atlanta, which makes it a regional-hub. It is also home to the headquarters of many very large companies.
