KatM | 14/20. Well I'm Australian. We eat rosemary and lamb together then put it in the Barbie (BBQ). 2011-03-18 |
DiscoBayGolfer | Really easy quiz...fun though! Lamb and Mint Jelly, I've had it once, and once was enough. 2011-03-30 |
scapuless | The only one I missed was nuts. All I could think of was gum. Ah nuts and gum, together at last. 2011-04-02 |

fairycrysta | I'm American, and I have tried lamb and mint jelly. I'm sorry, but it's really gross.... So, I'm gonna knock it. 2011-05-06 |
giglibuni | I've definitely never heard of lamb and mint jelly. But then again, I'm not British. But red beans and rice is delicious. The people who have never heard of it have obviously never been to south Louisiana. :D 2011-06-07 |
cjsf92 | you americans question lamb and mint jelly, what about peanut butter and jelly??? at least call it jam like the brits 2011-06-12 |
emopandakun | Americans aren't British, there's no reason for us to call our jelly, "jam". Besides, lamb tastes disgusting, with or without the mint jelly. 2011-06-13 |
rmays1998 | flora and fauna? never heard of that 2011-06-17 |
oreoblizzard | I guessed Yellow for "Black &______" haha 2011-06-19 |
talz | So funny being a New Zealander reading these comments... My first guess for the mint jelly one was lamb, even though jelly is that jiggly stuff not sauce! Lamb with mint sauce is brilliant! What the hell is red beans and rice though... Oh my gosh the fish and chips one, New Zealands' national dish hahahhaha 2011-06-20 |
xLisaRenee | Hahah, the only reason I got lamb and mint jelly was from an episode of Charmed 2011-06-21 |
michaela7 | lamb and mint jelly?? :0 oh well othr than tht nailed it with a hammer :) except 4 sum reason wen i read pen i automatically thot pencil until my mom yelled paper 2011-06-22 |
Relsoh | I got all of them except "Red Bean & Rice" and "Peas & Carrots". Should have gotten the peas one, but the rest were really easy. I notice most of you have trouble with the Lamb and Mint Jelly concept. It's just like mint sauce only it stays in one place. Goes really well with lamb. :D 2011-06-27 |
Georgiapeachrocks | all with 3:14 on the clock 2011-07-03 |
Georgiapeachrocks | hehe i love that 'put it in the barbie' where im from Barbie is a doll! 2011-07-03 |
Georgiapeachrocks | if you have never heard of red beans and rice travel down south and get yourself some! 2011-07-03 |
Georgiapeachrocks | cjsf92 i would call it Jam but that is a heavier sauce than jelly, plus it is common in America to have called it Jelly therefore i am keeping my ways the same
2011-07-03 |
Georgiapeachrocks | Flora and fauna is an animal and plant thing you learn in eighth grade science 2011-07-03 |
Georgiapeachrocks | again relsoh travel to South carolina and get someone to feed you red beans and rice...for my family it is an old special.
2011-07-03 |
Rittings | Mint jelly sucks... real mint fresh outta the garden is better!! :D 2011-07-05 |
turtle70 | Is it sad that most of these q's I was quoting from movies or songs, Red beans and rice did miss her - from baby got back. Flora and fauna - adams family, horse and carraige - married with children theme song. peas and carrots - forest gump. lol i watch too much tv 2011-07-05 |
Englishrose | we'd have fresh mint or mint sauce with lamb over here, maybe mint jelly is an americanized version of this - can't imagine it's an improvment. 2011-07-09 |
laurabaybay | In New Zealand we have Lamb and Mint Sauce, would never have thought to call it "Mint Jelly" though, I was thinking along the lines of desserts because of that. Thankful that Peanut Butter and Jam was a pass, but I know that Americans use Jelly instead. Fish and Chips is VERY familiar in New Zealand, its like our thing! Haha 2011-07-16 |
nadyaa | 17/20 >_< Hahaha all this fuss over a little lamb and some mint jelly... 2011-07-17 |
bodaciousbritt | Oh lord... I'm American and I knew all of the "British" things. I personally don't like the taste of lamb, or mint jelly, but I knew what the hell it was. And jelly is different then jam. We have both here in America, and I don't like either one. I think PB&J is gross. So it may not make "since" to some of you people that are "so glad to be AMERICAN" but it makes a whole lot of sense to the normal people with some attempt at a little culture and education in their lives. 2011-07-22 |
Versailles80 | Lamb with mint Jelly is really good, had it while visiting North Carolina, never been to England. Got them all, but almost missed carrots I kept thinking of peas in a pod...oops. 2011-07-27 |
eydie | this was easy! 2011-08-28 |
piney13 | I'm from New Zealand and we have mint jelly and mint sauce. the sauce is really runny and thin, the jelly is like solidified sauce, and its green lol! we use it on lamb roasts traditionally. i personally don't mind if its missed off. Apparently they used to use mint to keep the flies off the meat when they were transporting it and that's where the combination came from. 2011-09-13 |
worldwearygamer | loved the Forrest Gump reference. "Me and Jenny were like peas and carrots!" 2011-09-19 |
jadekelly | I'm more used to mint sauce with lamb instead of mint jelly, but I know some people prefer the jelly. I didn't realise that was considered a British combo though. Can't say I like either with lamb, I'd much rather have mustard. When I went to America I remember there being so many jars of PB&J-esque combinations, like with chocolate spread instead of jelly, I thought they were very strange! But every culture has different culinary traditions that may seem strange to outsiders, no one is right or wrong, we should embrace our differences and learn about them instead of arguing over them!! 2011-09-21 |
Englishsiren | ha - tried king and country first but theothers were all too simple..except the ruddy nuts one... i was thinking nuts and berries, nuts and fruits didn't think outside of the food category though o.O 2011-09-30 |
Prttypryncess | Sucks I spelled Lightning wrong LOL. aww well 2011-10-06 |
gonlau2 | 20/20 with 3:06 to spare! yay me 2011-10-09 |
slardman | pen & teller? :( 2011-10-22 |
theLAYTshow | I'm with jadekelly, lamb and mint sauce is the way to go! Try it on your peas too, though not your carrots - they're good with honey :D 2011-10-25 |
Gingerbreadman | I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be lamb and mint SAUCE
That's what we call it in England. 2011-11-13 |
txbdog | Lamb and mint jelly. We dont eat lamb in the states. and what is faura? 2011-11-23 |
slytherinsnakelover | jamb and mint sause is actualy an british thing as most of you have put it i'm british and i got allof them even the american penut butter and jelly. 2011-11-24 |
happygrrl | omigod gingerbreadman did you even read the rest of the comments? 2011-11-24 |
happygrrl | @txbdog: Yes we do, just maybe you don't. What makes you think you can speak for the entire coutry when you say that? And "faura" is not anything. However, flora and fauna are the scientific terms for plants and animals, respectively. 2011-11-24 |
mathematics13 | 17/20 wrong: red beans and rice, nuts and bolts, and lamb and mint jelly. 2011-11-28 |
delky06 | 100% with 3:12 left 2011-12-15 |
Ravenclaw Poppy Petrelli | 3:11 booya 2011-12-18 |
courtjester138 | lmao, at first I put Pen and Teller 2011-12-27 |
megede | lamb & mint jelly what the heck?!?!?! 2011-12-27 |
courtjester138 | I really though lamb and mint jelly was very common...I've never eaten it, but I sure as heck have heard of it. 2012-01-03 |
mmg | okay guys i am american you need to open your minds people eat diffrent things in diffrent places and regions in the south of americanyou will see red beans and rice, peanutbutter and jelly are an american thing and lamb and mint jelly is enlish. be respectful of other traditions and cultures and accept them not critisize can say you dont like it til you try it. 2012-01-12 |
DF44 | I find it wierd that you guys eat Peanut Butter and Jelly o_O
And it should be Lamb and Mint Sauce, it's Redcurrant Jelly that goes nicely with that (Sauce or not).
Sincerely
A Brit. 2012-01-16 |
Piper098 | just the thinking about mint jelly, sounds more disgusting then mountain oysters!!!!! 2012-02-01 |
Roger M | We call it Mint Sauce - fresh mint (it's a plant) finely chopped and mixed with vinegar and a small amount of sugar - delicious and the perfect accompaniment to roast lamb, new potatoes, peas and gravy. 2012-02-08 |
MattPett12 | 19/20. I've never heard of peas and carrots. 2012-02-08 |
