The second time it gets to "All the roads.." the lyrics are different.

"And all the roads the lead you there were winding.

And all the lights the light the way are blinding."

Doesn't really change the answers, but FYI.

As a non-British person, I'm proud not to like that smarmy ass and his cheesy pop music. Perfect 0 score. Winchester Cathedral was better Britpop than what's his name's bloated opinion of his self-legend.

Which does beg the question, why have you clicked on a quiz titled ‘Wonderwall lyrics?’ Don’t really see what your non-Britishness has to do with how much you like/dislike music. If British music really is a problem, we’ll happily keep The Beatles, The RollingStones, Zeppelin, Elton John etc… as long as America agrees to keep Madonna to themselves!

This is one of those songs that is fine (I'd rate it like a B+), but has been made intolerable by being overplayed. It's so odd how some songs just get burned into the public consciousness for decades. Oasis has at least 10 better songs than this one (including at least three better ones on this same album), yet for some reason, this one just hit the right notes and stuck into everyone's mind.

I absolutely agree. For many years my colleagues would listen to a rock and metal channel at work, which was fine with me because I liked many of the songs and anything beats the generic pop music they play on mainstream channels. But that channel played Wonderwall *every single day*, usually even more than once. It's a fine song but somehow it's just not made for repeat listening. The same with the Subways' Rock & Roll Queen. And there are some other songs I could hear a hundred times and still sing along to every time, like Basket Case or (I'm sorry) Teenage Dirtback. It's something about the melody or the harmonics I guess.

There's a mistake after the second verse, in the second break it's not "And all the roads we have to walk are winding. And all the lights that lead us there are blinding" but "And all the roads that lead you there are winding. And all the lights that light the way are blinding"
