Interesting. I used to be a young-Earth creationist, like you, when I was a teenager. And when I was the same age and younger I was also very much into Roman/Greek/Norse/Egyptian/etc mythology... had a pretty detailed understanding of the different pantheons and so on. Not sure why I find both existing side by side to be so interesting, maybe because it seems like understanding how multiple other systems of mythology were completely bogus and made-up seems like it should cast some light on how whatever mythology one believes in themselves is similarly bogus and made-up. I do think it had something to do with my finally seeing the truth... though traveling, studying, and having experiences with other more contemporary religions might have played a bigger part.
