Yep, it wasn't highlighted for me either. I knew I had 4 left, but only 3 showed as still needing to be identified. Had it been highlighted, I definitely would've gotten Micronesia.
Yea I was surprised to see micronesia and florida show up (in red) after the quiz had finished. Had not seen those highlighted. thought it was just me. In either case the light yellow is easy to miss.
(Planned to reload the quiz after reading the comments to see if I could spot the highlighted areas. Well I will still do that)
Ok florida is there in yellow (must be the nearby islands that give (me) the visual those were yellow, which I realised they weren't when clearly focussing on them, and must have looked away not focussing on that spot after that)
But Micronesis is just white/very pale blue on the map. No yellowness not even when you zoom in. Perhaps make it a yellow (oval ) outline?
Please add an optional E to 'Fa(e)roes'. I struggled for minutes to find the spelling the quiz wanted, before realising it was the E that was the issue...
i would swear I was taught to spell it with the 'e' when I was young. Looking at Google, a few references to the Met Office Shipping Forecast still use 'Faeroe' but I can see that it's probably considered archaic now..
I don't really think FSM is fair because it is accepted and typically referred to as Micornesia, so even though I knew that was Micronesia, I didnt guess it
Not as of the Countries of the World Quiz, though. It's like calling the United States unfair on Countries that Start with 'U' because it's referred to as 'America'.
FSM is usually called FSM, and not Micronesia. For example the national government's website is https://www.fsmgov.org/ and on that site the country is called FSM or "Federated States of Micronesia", which is fair enough, because "Micronesia" refers to a region that includes other countries.
not really because the K stands for Kingdom and is also not used in other kingdoms like Kingdom of the Netherlands or the Kingdom of Spain. The F stands for Federated and is commonly given in the abbreviation so it makes sense to use it here.
The nation is referred to as Micronesia by most people who have even heard of the country. FSM however would be an unfamiliar acronym to most of those people. Which is why it shouldn't be used just like KSA shouldn't be used.
Micronesia’s name is Federated States of Micronesia. KSA’s name is Saudi Arabia. The difference is that Kingdom is in the official name, while Federated is in the common name.
Well, that might just be a "you" problem. I usually see it referred to as FSM or Federated States of Micronesia, as that seems to be the most useful way of distinguishing the country from the wider region of Micronesia.
I'll pass it on. Just came over the pass/ridge near Hehuanshan the other day. It rises to 3,416 meters. Before you look it up online, any idea where it is at? :)

Still usually not spelled that way in English, but asking for Faeroe as a type-in seems reasonable.
Super quiz BTW
