Yes I can see the violence and turpitude in places like the Vatican with the Swiss guard death squads roaming around at night killing and maiming stragglers in St.Peter's square. The never-ending militias and civil war in Tonga, bankers in Monaco beating people up with sacks of money, the Duke dictator of Luxembourg violating his citizen's human rights on a daily basis, a failed state like Liechtenstein being used as a base for terrorists in Europe. Somalia is a stroll in the park compared to these places.

you’re not telling me nauru tuvalu and fiji are fighting wars left right and centre - more than japan? i’m assuming the source list leaves out nations below a certain population threshold, which would be nice to include in the description or caveats

Pretty sure it's because small nations aren't even listed.

But the Catholic church doesn't have the greatest human rights record in a number of areas, so they may not make the top 20 in any case.
