By posting Cyprus as a European answer! There is plenty of debate all over the internet - and in Jetpunk feedbacks as well - about which continent it is a part of.
Oh, and PNG is not an island and should be removed. The main section of PNG only takes up roughly half the island of Papua, with the other half of the island part of Indonesia (the provinces of Papua and West Papua).
PNG has a few other islands around it, like New Britain, but if countries that own islands are included, then Greece and Chile, eg, would have to be added.
I'm pretty sure the rule is that country has to be entirely on an island (or islands) to be included. Since no part of PNG is on a continent, it counts. For this same reason, Malaysia would not count, because part of the country is on an island and another part on the Asian mainland.
All three of you - please read the caveats up top. Must be in the Island Countries quiz to qualify -- and PNG, Australia, etc. are on that quiz. A hyperlink is provided up top ^^.
Maybe it has changed in the past two years, but on that quiz, Australia is now a given answer and shown in brackets. Maybe it's an idea to do the same?
On the other hand, most people will know Australia is an answer when they see New Zealand and PNG as number 2 and 3. Australia is one of the most-guessed answers, so it's not really a problem for anyone.
I agree with tourwoorden - it was easy enough to guess that Australia was intended by the quizmaster. But that doesn't stop it being plain WRONG. There is just no way that anyone can consider a continental landmass to be an island. The idea is plain ridiculous.
It depends though. Some people consider it apart of South America, while other people consider it apart of North America. But usually you would see Trinidad and Tobago being apart of North America.

Barbados is out of place alphabetically.
