But 'Buddhist' is also an adjective describing things of or related to Buddhism, e.g. a Buddhist monk, a Buddhist statue. Because of that, when asked which religion is the appropriate answer, one might correctly say 'the Buddhist religion'. Buddhism is a better answer, and clearly what was intended, but I wouldn't say that Buddhist is wrong.
After I spent several long moments trying to think of a religion that started with TAS, I went back and re-read the category. Hmmm...it may be time for glasses.
To all complaining about the term region not being a state...how is that even a logical thought. From Wikipedia (yes I know it's not perfect but this definition is pretty darn good): In geography, regions are areas that are broadly divided by physical characteristics, human impact characteristics, and the interaction of humanity and the environment. Considering different countries use different terms for their subdivisions (states, provinces, counties, countries, parishes, etc.) Region seems to be the most logical choice of term.
And another. I must have spelled it seven or eight different ways even though I was pretty it was right the first time. Luckily I just realised in time to type Catalonia
....many people do. Wrongly. Also, COLossus of Rhodes, COLorado River, COLchester Town Hall, COLonel Sanders. OK, the last one os silly, but the others are viable, surely...
Second quiz in a row I've seen my home state of Tasmania. Which is pretty good representation, given it doesn't always even make it on to maps of Australia.
Why are the US states in the category of "US State", while the Australian state is the category of "State"? Either list them all as "State" or specify the country for all three.
But the accepted answers are clearly the most obvious ones.
Otherwise, thanks for a great quiz!
Tasmania is a state. So is Bavaria. Simple facts.
and I'm meant to be good at geography...
