Because they are not currently independent countries nor do they have UN representation etc...

Regarding Hong Kong and Macau, how about stating in the introduction "including territories"? Then China would replace HK and Macau. And USA could now be added, since the US Virgin Islands drive on the left. In other quizzes I've taken, authors have territory answers appear in red.

I enjoyed this quiz! I hope you update it (Swaziland to Eswatini, etc).
