Most important cities according to Google Maps

This was the list as of January 2016, I should probably update it sometime soon.

I just checked and as far as I can tell the only thing that changed since the last update was the removal of Shanghai and Apia, on UK Google Maps at least. Maybe it does change depending on which country you're in, but also keep in mind that some cities tend to disappear from the map a lot when the viewing angle has them overlap with other pieces of text. It often helps to zoom in as much as possible before other cities start appearing and then wiggling the globe around until you spot them. A different language might be problematic as well, since a longer name could mean it overlaps with other text more easily. I'll submit a quick update for the extra two cities though, thanks!
