Cool quiz! It helped me remind myself of the atmosphere layers

Nice! I'd give a darker colour to the Earth layers though, think it should be doable by editing the .svg file

Yeah, I already made the atmosphere layers slightly bluer and lighter than the earth layers. I've added a brown tinge to the earth layers now. Thanks :)

Ionosphere?

"The ionosphere (/aɪˈɒnəˌsfɪər/[1][2]) is a region of Earth's upper atmosphere, from about 60 km (37 mi) to 1,000 km (620 mi) altitude,[3] and includes the thermosphere and parts of the mesosphere and exosphere." Think of it like the thermo, exo and meso being countries, then the ionosphere is just a collection of countries, like Europe.

why is everything on Jetpunk so geography-centric

(I'm being sarcastic lol I know why)

Realistically, Lithosphere should probably be acceptable for crust. It comprises all of the crust and a tiny portion of the top of the mantle, and it sounds more......technical?

Although it is not exactly the crust, I will accept "Lithosphere" as an answer due to your technical argument :P

Core, mantle, and crust are chemical distinctions.

Lithosphere, asthenosphere, mantle, inner core, and outer core are physical distinctions.

Probably best not to mix the different types of layers, if we're going to be technical.

I kept typing in "core" and wondering why it wasn't there. Also, what is the ionosphere? I remember it from an old song. Is that now outdated?

Thermosphere and Exosphere share the region of the Ionosphere. The Ionosphere more similar to the Ozone Layer than an actual layer of the atmosphere.

There's a typo in the description. You mean "its," not "it's."

I learned that there are four layers of the atmosphere: Tropo, Strato, Meso, and Thermo. The Thermosphere is split into 2 subsections: The Ionosphere and the Exosphere.

I'd learned that there was a maleficosphere primarily composed of witches and their broomsticks.

I had all of them except the outermost layer, and took a wild guess that it was "exosphere." Pleasantly surprised.

troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, thermosphere, thermosphere divided to ionosphere and exosphere...anyone else ever hear that song???

The exosphere is just beyond the thermosphere, that's what I learned.

Ionosphere is similar to the Ozone Layer... it is more of a region instead of an actual layer itself.

I've never heard of the exosphere but judging by what the image shows, isn't it the same as outer space?
+1

It's the outer layer of the atmosphere, it's isn't quite empty space.

cfc bans in 90's. That's why your car AC isn't super cold like it was in the 80's. Ozone is fine, recovering the losses as Wan said. Alarmism, on the other hand, is out of control.

The turbosphere incorporates all of the troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and the lower part of the thermosphere. It is defined as the Earth's surface up to 100km.
