Zone 1 London Underground Stations - With a Map

Can you name all 61 London Underground Stations that are officially within Zone 1? To help you out, I made an SVG map of the tube map, which took several days to make!
  • Some stations are currently closed, but are included as closure is not permanent.
  • All stations are listed alphabetically. Here's the Ordered by Line version!
  • Thanks to Quizzer6794 for encouraging me to find time to make quizzes again :)

Great quiz in the making, but lost a lot of time checking whether I needed the full name or not. Reckon it should be full names only, with time extended to 10 mins as there is a lot of typing involved. Cheers!

Thanks a lot for the feedback :) Assume that the full name is required, then when the few stations that don't require their full name, like ones ending in "Street", are typed in, you have saved time!

Time extension is down to the Quizmaster's decision now it is featured - can't make the quiz too easy :P

Shame I haven't been to London in years - I could only remember 5. Great quiz though. Some more for other cities would be awesome. I'd like to see one for Hong Kong.

I use InkScape! And zone 2 is unlikely to happen, given this one took hours to make! :)

An American who's never been to the UK but managed to get 15, mainly just from reading British books and guessing all the cities I could think of.

This is an amazing quiz, I am embarrassed though how many times it took me to get 100%, once I knew this all like the back of my hand. I have a favour to ask, that is can you possibly add edgeware (road) as an option. I was going nuts trying to guess that. I didn't even realise that Edgware is spelled without the extra e. oops

I nominate this for Jetpunk's list of all-time best quizzes. It might be interesting to do a version where the answers are listed in station order by line (so many times an answer would pop up in 2 or 3 places). Rather than me make that, and credit you back to this one in that quiz, would you be interested to do that and post it yourself? Cheers, Jeremy

Thank you so much Jeremy! I would happily do it, though it might be a little while until I get round to it due to University exams coming up soon. Would you think having a different quiz for each line; a few lines in each quiz or having one quiz with all lines would be best?

I was thinking of one quiz, using the map from this quiz, with all of the train lines, one per column, as answers. It probably won't take too much work to copy this one, then simply adapt the answer list sequence. Good luck with your exams!

Ah I see! I should easily be able to sort that out, so the answers are ordered by line rather than alphabetical. And thank you! :)

From the U.S. Never been to London...or the UK...or Europe for that matter. Somehow cobbled together 18/61 from what I've heard in movies/TV/news, Premier League clubs and a few times simply stepping in it. VERY proud of my 1 point!

Oh, and amazing quiz. WELL done. When I saw "with map" in the title, I had to give it a whirl, despite knowing ahead of time how terribly I would do on it.

love the quiz, my only criticism is the shortening acceptability of some stations. eg Leicester for Leicester Square, or Covent for Covent Garden or Russel for Russell Square. Some are known by a shortened version. Hardly anyone says Piccadilly Circus, it's just known as Piccadilly, or Kings Cross St Pancras, everyone just says Kings Cross, But I've never heard Lancaster Gate (and I used to live there) described as just Lancaster, or Oxford Circus just called Oxford etc. Like I said, I like the quiz just it's been made a little too easy by the shortening of names allowed.
