I disagree with how you made this quiz. Having more states that beat it does in no way mean more central. Instead, you should find the distance from borders (which is very easy to find)

Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina are considered to be a part of the Eastern Seaboard. There's no way anyone who lives in the states would categorize that as central. Just lookin out because I appreciate these quizzes and your efforts!

I never would have guessed South Dakota.

I can see Alaska, Washington, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Maine (9) being further north.
