Good quiz. So I read recently that a Gamma-Ray Burst that occurred 7 billion lightyears away 6 billion years ago which was detected in 2008 was so large that it was the equivalent of one trillion of our most powerful nuclear bombs going off at once every second, for over 100 billion years. Imagine that!!! Keep on quizzing.

A solar flare is only a change in brightness on the surface and immediate vicinity of the Sun as seen through a special instrument. Impossible to notice from earth the clue would be better if it mentioned the result of a magnetic energy disturbance of the Sun's surface as a clue.
