I love these kinds of quizzes. I'm from Pennsylvania though and I honestly thought Dale Carnegie was too.

Are you thinking of Andrew Carnegie? He was born in the UK but moved with his parents to Pennsylvania.

Laura Ingalls Wilder had only one child who survived to adulthood, Rose Wilder Lane. Rose had only one child, who was stillborn. Laura Ingalls Wilder has no living direct descendants, and neither does her father, Charles Ingalls. Perhaps your classmate descends from one of Laura's cousins.

That is a highly more likely story! I have read Laura's books too, it seems you have read them.

Not sure why Lindbergh is on a Missouri quiz - he was born in Michigan, graduated from high school in Minnesota, was based in St Louis when he flew Air Mail for the Post Office. The financial backers for his flight were from St Louis, but the plane was built in San Diego and flew from New York to Paris. If he had flown an Apache helicopter, could he claim to be Native American?

All I can say is Missouri residents are easier to remember than Iowans.

You should add Eminem. He was born in St Louis, but moved to Michigan as a kid

If he moved to Michigan as a kid, why would he be included here?

I think there'd be less complaints if you changed the description from "people from the" to "people associated with the" or something like that.

If you're going to include Nelly (Texas) and Brad Pitt (Oklahoma) because they were raised in Missouri despite being born elsewhere, you can't really include Redd Foxx who was raised in Chicago.
