Thanks to Obergefell vs. Hodges, this quiz is redundant (as all 50 states and the District of Columbia must allow same-sex marriage... thus replicating the Name All 50 U.S. States quiz), out of date, and containing a flaw (the U.S. has no areas officially known as "provinces").

But the quiz can be kept! Rename to "First U.S. States with Same-Sex Marriage." Restate instructions to list the states that had SSM prior to Obergefell v. Hodges, which made SSM legal nationwide. Amend also the instructions to include all lands over which the U.S. is sovereign (to catch D.C.). Finally, state that Native American tribes are not included. (After all, technically they are their own sovereign bodies.)
