It's Surabaya. Suzhou and Guangzhou are at least 100km from the sea. Should have included Shenzhen instead.

Where is tianjin?Osaka is larger than nagoya. Why is seattle here?Shanghai is larger than Jakarta.

This quiz is inaccurate and statistically inconsistent. Osaka has a metropolitan area of 17 million. You can't use the city proper of some cities and metropolitan area of others. Good concept for a quiz but made terribly.

Not to be nit-picky but there are two commas in between Bangkok's population. Just thought you should know!

Shouldn't Santiago (de Chile) also count...? It lies near to the coast of the Pacific ocean, and has about 4.837.400 habitants.

Santiago is 80-90km (50ish miles) from the ocean and the urban/Metro area at its very closest is still a 50-60km from the ocean. Close to the ocean but not exactly a coastal city as it’s wedged in a large valley in the Andes Mountains.

Adelaide?? if you include that you should include singapore and jakarta

Adelaide, Jakarta and Singapore all Hydrologically and geographically Speaking belong to the Indian Ocean and not the Pacific Ocean. Singapore is the only one that comes very close as the Ocean switches to the Pacific instead of Indian Ocean just East of the country by about 35-45 km (15-20 miles) Suggest possibly looking up a Map that shows where all the Oceans border each other if you wanna know more about it. Kinda crazy where some Oceans Boundaries end and others start.

jakarta? and why is incheon counted as part of seoul? its its own separate city, and seoul definitely isnt coastal. guangzhou and shenzhen also being included as the same? thats just dumb. i guess shanghai and hangzhou are also the same then.

Jakarta hydrologically and geographically speaking borders the Indian Ocean and not Pacific Ocean. Suggest looking up a a world map that shows the Hydrological Borders of the worlds oceans and where they start/end, also Seoul and Incheon are very much part of the Same Urban and Metro Area which is what this quiz uses for population statistics. Wouldn’t make sense to use exact City limits populations on a quiz like this or you wouldn’t have ever heard of half of the cities on the list.
