Though Grainger was born in Australia and continued to identify himself primarily as an Australian, his music contributed greatly to the British culture and ethnomusicology.

Great quiz! Not sure why everyone's commenting naming random other British composers. True there are more composers than the ones you've mentioned - but you can't name them all! I think you've got a good cross-section of eras going on here too.

Grainger was Australian! I know it's mentioned above but he definitely was not a 'British' composer
