Again this is the first quiz i made, so it's not that perfect. It's the only quiz I did it this way. So I'm gonna change it for you, for myself and everybody else!:)
Nice quiz. I'm not disputing your numbers, but some of them are hard to believe. Chiefly, are there really only 38 stores in the USA? I thought there were more than that. Hard to imagine that there are more in Germany than the US. Also hard to imagine that there are so many in Austria, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and the Netherlands... given that they are all such small countries. There's basically *one* large city (okay, 1 1/2 if you count Brno) in the Czech Republic, how could they possibly need 5 IKEA stores? haha.
Maybe it's hard to belive for an American, (guess you're american) but europe is very densely populated. I'm from one of those countries you named, The Netherlands, and here there're enough people to support base those 12 stores we have. In the US people live way more spead, so it would make no sense to build that much stores close to each other. Plus the fact Americans travel much more and longer, it's in your culture, so you guys wouldn't mind to travel one hour to an IKEA, but in europe it's just diffrent.
Is it your position that there are more people in Germany than in the United States? The whole country is smaller than the state of Montana. I'm not sure why you're having such a hard time grasping this. Nothing I said was criticism.
Yes, there are a lot of states in the USA that don't even have one store. Colorado has 1. Oklahoma has none. Missouri has none, Kansas will have 1 next year. etc.
Slovenia needs to be added
