Could you accept "9" for back nine?

Sure. That will work now.

Since the question is phrased "What the empire did", the answer should be STRIKE back. Grammatically speaking.

"The empire did strike back". I agree with dasims45.

Which flavour people favour, "strike" should totally be accepted.

Stuck back is just a silly answer to this question. The question would be improved if the required answer was "Strikes back", because that was the name of the film after all.

8 years later... "Strike" will work now. Who says we don't listen to user feedback?

Shouldn't Empire be capitalised? To really test your mettle in user feedback

Is backstroke really an event? Shouldn't it be just a stroke or something?

Backstroke itself isn’t an event for example the 200 backstroke is an event.

Not in English apparently. But in some other languages whale is the same as Quasimodo

Maybe add “strike” as a type-in for the Empire clue?

Maybe accept "Strike Back" for what the empire did? Struck back is awfully specific and the idea is the same

I eventually got it but spent a lot of time trying to get 'back in time' to work for Marty McFly. Yes, the movie title is the better answer but I couldn't get the Huey Lewis song out of my head.

The person who created the quiz last created a quiz in 2013. So it is likely he/she is gone so I doubt any of you are going see any changes. Strikes vs Struck - stupid. If we are really going to accept the past tense then the answer should be "lost".

Although to be fair, we rarely visit our back catalog. This quiz was last revised in 2013, so it's been eight years. I am a believer in continuous improvement however, so we eventually try to make changes and improvements.

I've revised this quiz to address user comments and to remove one clue that was nearly impossible for non-American users.
