17/20. I missed Def Leppard, KISS and The Clash, although I should've gotten them too

Literally right after finishing this, Rock You Like A Hurricane just came up on my playlist.

I found this really tough. Most of these songs, whilst fairly well known, are from the 80's when i was knee high to a grasshopper. I recognise almost all of them (never heard of Ted Nugent or CSF) but I don't know them well enough to guess them from the bandname or the initials.

Ted Nugent has chosen to be renowned more for being a total lunatic and ammosexual than being one of the best guitar players in the world. Shame.

I would argue that Nugent was never one of the best guitar players, but I agree that he's chosen his politics and obsession with guns over his music career, in terms of what he's going to be remembered for.

Just listen to the guitar solo in "Journey to the Center of the Mind" by the Amboy Dukes, Nugent's first band.

I think I've been doing too many geography quizzes on here because I immediately thought "Democratic Republic of the Congo" for DRC.

Got em all first try, though it took me a minute to figure out I was only supposed to be typing the underlined word. That's what I get for not reading directions I guess.

i know this is completely unrelated but the other day the two classic rock stations here in town were playing the same Eagles song at the same exact time...i've never heard that before. btw it was Life In the Fast Lane. Oh and Ted Nugent SUCKS

Someone needs to do awesome covers of Cat Scratch Fever and Free For All so that we can regard those as the definitive versions and forget Nugent himself ever existed.

I heard that happen about three times over the course of a year where two stations were playing the same classic rock song at the same time. I love classic rock, but the big radio stations really beat the hits into the ground no matter what era of music they're playing.

Stranglehold’s probably the only song of his that I liked. Never really cared for Cat Scratch Fever.

The Clash was a pop band, not a real punk band. Rock the Casbah.

BS! They weren't metal but they certainly played a wide variety of punk from rock punk, ska punk, etc although they also played some reggae, dub, etc

They were certainly a real punk band. You might argue that their sound had evolved into something else by the time Rock the Casbah was released, but they were prominent in the British punk rock scene in the 70s.
