Clearly Kal is not familiar with some of the vehicular classics of all time: the Ford Kokopelli, the Aston Martin Mendacity, the Volkswagen Haggis Hurl, and the Chevy Root Canal.
Passat means tradewind, that is also what the car is actually named after. I realise the clues do not need to be for what exactly they named after. But to pick something more obscure than what it actually is named after seems weird. I looked it up because I thought, huh a german sailing ship I couldnt think of many names, but sure never heard of passat as a type of ship. So I looked it up, apparently there is one single ship called that (so not a type, but like its nickname). And that ship too is called after the tradewind.
Also, I see what you have done with the Philadelphia weather clue... Snowy? Crappy? Wintry? Cold? Unbearable?...
