Even though I've never heard NIN, I took this quiz (and didn't get a single one) because it was the only one of yours I hadn't yet taken. I really enjoy your quizzes and I hope you keep adding more.

haha... well, this one and the characters one you just commented on are by far the two most obscure and esoteric quizzes that I've made. So it makes sense you'd save them for last. I'm traveling full-time now and will be for the next four years so I doubt that I'll have as much time for making quizzes as I used to when I was confined to office hours at my university in Dammam. But... if I have time... I have a few more ideas.

Thanks for taking all my quizzes and commenting on them. It's nice to be appreciated.

Nope. Only way to reach me is by email direct :) (And I don't like MacBeth either)

"Really? I typed in the e-mail you gave me and it took me to a page for Jeremy Hall who likes MacBeth, New Leaf Book Cafe, and the Ford Focus. That's not you?"

Thanks for your Istanbul suggestions - Topkapı Palace was indeed our favourite of all, though Dolmabahçe Palace was also mindbogglingly opulent (maybe with my own interest in politics it was a fascination to see where Ataturk died - they've preserved that room for you to have a look at). Hope you're enjoying your summer in Bulgaria! Cheers, Jeremy

I dived into this lesser taken quiz of yours to discover we had already swapped words five years ago at this very place! Thanks for apologising for "vandalising" on the Egypt quiz, though to be honest, with comments sections being the free-speech venues that they are, sharing of opinions are more art than vandalism. But I did feel sad you turned down my invite to chat some more offline because I do find you an interesting guy - probably skype (jeremy.hall6464) would be a more interesting way to say Hi. And sad too that, even if one cannot 'vandalise' it is still possible to talk so much and at such length that it's possible to lose one's audience, which I suspect might have happened here. Anyway, I hope you're doing OK out there in this Covid-19 world somewhere reasonably safe. The conversation in NZ is starting to swivel towards when it will be possible to safely leave the country, and the guesses range from anywhere from "in 12 months time" to perhaps 3 or 4 years. Cheers Jeremy

This one really missed the mark, which is unusual for a "Kal quiz". That being said, if you hit oil every time, you're not digging enough wells.

Which mark did it miss? Granted it's not a quiz that everyone is going to like.

The Serbs really stole your car? Like they just took it, and refused to return it?

I know you've stopped commenting but I feel the need to ask - is there any particular reason you like this album as much as you do? I just finished listening to it and if I'm being entirely honest I wasn't that impressed. It was definitely enjoyable, but The Downward Spiral is one of my favorite albums and with the exception of a few songs I feel like The Fragile was just a longer, less energetic, more watered down version of that (and without the semi-cohesive storyline holding it together).

::shrug:: if you don't get it you don't get it. I feel like most NIN albums don't really reveal themselves completely until at least the 4th or 5th listen through - I definitely felt that way about TDS I didn't even like it the first time I listened to it. I came to love it after many repeat listens. The Fragile, though, honestly, I thought it was just perfect start to finish immediately. Richer, more personal, more complex. And the storyline is there; not sure how you missed it. But... yes... it is less energetic. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. I mean one of my favorite tracks from The Downward Spiral was always a warm place.

The Fragile is a real grower. Took me a while to get into it.

I can definitely see that. It was this way for me for The Downward Spiral. But I fell in love with The Fragile the first time I listened to it.
