Nice! I don't know where the 'continental borders' are, how much closer is Kuwait than Kyrgyzstan if you know?

Iran appears to be only 100 miles from (European) Russia. Is there a part of Europe within 100 miles of Israel?

You're all right! Syria and Iran are closer, and working off this map, Kuwait is 1234 km / 766 mi from the Russia-Azerbaijan border, and Kyrgyzstan is 1164 km / 723 mi from the Russia-Kazakhstan border. Quiz updated; thanks for all your feedback.

I hate to be that guy, but technically Spain is in the part-in, part-out category with Ceuta bordering Morocco in Africa, so it should be an alternate answer as well.

Azerbaijan is clearly partly north of Caucasus, and also a tiny bit of Georgia.

Is Palestine accepted as an official country on Jetpunk? I thought it wasn’t, but maybe I’m wrong.

Websites don't "accept" countries as "official" or not. That is a job that falls to other countries, and our answers reflect the fact that most (70% in fact) of the world's countries recognise Palestine as one. Based on that criterion Palestine's country status is obvious. We've spent many of the years we've been active on this website trying to persuade Dan of that, to date without success.
