If all fifty in one minute is a bit of a stretch, you have a serious chance of 100% at the Two Minute Sprint version of this quiz.

Why oh why are people putting Sacramento and Tallahassee ahead of Boise, Dover, Pierre and Topeka??? Doesn't getting good numbers here mean doing the short ones first?!

With one minute on the board, people don't have the luxury of thinking carefully about which names are shorter. It's a matter of you think it, you type it!

I had Tallahassee in mine- it's because with one minute, I didn't have enough time to think about what capitals were shorter. I started in the northeast and worked my way south because that was the fastest method I knew, and it was quicker for me to keep typing than to stop and think if there was an easier capital to type (I ended up with 34!)

I can't seem to get very far. I start typing all the capitals I know off the top of my head - Montgomery, Montpelier, Tallahassee, Sacramento, Harrisburg, Providence, Charleston, Jefferson City, Baton Rouge, Honolulu - and that's about as far as I get!

Need. More. Time. I also think with so little time that misspellings or abbreviated names for longer cities should be accepted (ie. Tallahassee = Tall, montpelier = Mont., oklahoma city= OKC)

If sprints aren't your thing, then try this regular run or this walk in the park.

True. I knew I'd never get close with only one minute so I took it untimed and got all 50. I'm just not a good typist.

Why don't you give the state so it's not just naming capitals?
