Fun! I think Saudi Arabia disappearing would just create two "islands". Also, Euro-Afrasia is a great new word.

whoops I mixed continents up while naming the quiz! Saudi Arabia: it'd create two portions only if you consider the 'dubious' Qatar-UAE border to exist!

It would create only two islands: Oman-Yemen-UAE and Qatar.

Good point thanks! When I first made the list after a while I realized I had missed 4, with Senegal it becomes 5... I wonder if there's any more I left out!

Straightly speaking, Alaska is an exclave of USA, so by your definition Canada should not be included. Otherwise countries like UAE, Ukraine, Morocco, Belgium etc. should also be included.

wow, there's always something new to learn! I put a note saying that exclaves smaller than 1 million km2 are not considered... thanks!

Great quiz! I got frustrated when Morocco didn't work; but then I read the instructions... oops.

Great quiz! Can you please just add borders to the answers table so that it would be clear how many countries are left in each column. I spent a full minute guessing other countries on the Americas after I have gotten them all because I thought there were more (I assumed both columns are the same length).

A lot of the countries are duals of countries with only one border.

Add Indonesia because of Brunei/East Timor

They aren't part of the Eurasian landmass (Brunei is on the island of Borneo, East Timor is on the island of, well, Timor!).

Plus, Brunei doesn't even border Indonesia. Perhaps you meant Papua New Guinea

Not sure if you count this, but Spain would separate both Portugal and Gibraltar?

Not really. Gibraltar is too small of an exclave (read caveats), but it wouldn't matter anyways.

What about China? Removing it would separate the Koreas from the rest of Asia

no it wouldn't - there's a short Russia-North Korea border!

Malaysia should be in this quiz too. If removed, it would separate Singapore from Asia.

Singapore is already separated from Asia by sea (it's connected via bridge)

Would North Korea not leave South Korea on its' own? Or is that not enough for the specifics of this quiz?
