Cities with no more than 10,000 inhabitants are only considered if they have no larger city within 100 km
Covering squares are white if there are 5 possible answers, the colour changes towards red as the number of answers decreases towards 1

In a way, it's neat that the answer key is the the type-in alternatives. I've never seen that before.

It's also interesting that one of the largest megacities on Earth, Jakarta, in one of the most densely populated areas, Java, shares the answer key with an barely known miniature place called Flying Fish Cove.
