Couldn't 'Fest' work for party? Also I tried 'Faint' for low in volume, but I guess it is a separate answer.

Thanks, the clues have been amended.

So be it could also be "fine." As is, meh...so be it...or meh...fine." More of an expression of uncaring.

I agree with "fine."

+1 perhaps not 100% so be it, but moreso than amen in my opinion. (i kept thinking, besides, c'est la vie, whatever, and sure (i think, or maybe that is what I am thinking now)

Yes, that's the stand-out dodgy one here. Still...

"Oft" also means frequently.

Tried that first, when that didnt take I saw there were the right letters to make often aswell, but really thought of oft first. Had to rethink for a little while, but not really long

I'm an idiot, thought 'manifest' for the 9 letter word before realising it was only 8 letters, didn't twig that I only needed to put the o onto the end.

I just became really annoyed with myself for this exact reason..Worst of all, I have taken this before and gotten the word. D'oh.

Could "mint" not work for quality clue?
+1
Level 67
Aug 27, 2019
Not a bad suggestion, it does mean in excelent condition. Though if the product is crap it could still be mint but not high quality. So it is not 100% synonymous ( though not wrong per see, If you are a collector looking for a specefic item, the most mint version is the highest quality one. But if the item can vary, andyou are just generally looking for something not a specific type or brand, quality can vary)

I know it's the wrong language, but could the French "soit" be accepted for "so be it"? I'm not French but it's the first thing I thought of.

I think that "mint" should work for "highest quality" clue

Only missed amen. Had no idea what to make of it, was thinking of things like c'est la vie. There is nothing we can do anymore, so be it.

Love the frothy clue, saw it right away, well with half a second delay, first the base of the word then the suffix. and took me quite a long time to get the highest quality one ! that was my last one.

I tried fine but not finest, and oft but not often. So close, yet so far.

I recommend "mate" be accepted for "close or join securely."

The clue for "inmate" is misleading imo. "Inmate" only applies to people in hospitals who are forced to be there, not to general patients.
