Fun idea yes. Explained.. well what other country to they border? They only border one country, there's no other country? Took a while to work that one out, I'd leave out one "other" there.
yea not well explained imo, seeing the table gave a clue but even at that point I thought we needed to give both names. When you know what is asked, the description makes sense, but when you don't, it makes you think of several scenarios
and yes @other. My first thought ( before I saw the table) was, for example; denmark only has one border, with germany. So which other countries does germany border. That is what it seems to say.
Instead of "Name the other countries they border" I would say "Name that country"
Well I must be an idiot. I typed Canada, nothing happened. I typed South Korea, nothing happened. I typed southkoreanorthkorea, nothing happened. How is this quiz supposed to work?
It was difficult for me, too. We were only supposed to type the country which shared the border with that one-border-only country. So, since South Korea has only one shared border, you should have typed North Korea, which is the country that shares the lone border with South Korea. It's a second step to process and I often found myself typing the single-border country rather than the country it shared that border with. I missed two, including Saudi Arabia. I thought of Qatar and reflexively typed it, but when it didn't work I moved on, rather then remembering to type the country it shared its border with. It should have been a fairly easy quiz but having to process that extra step proved difficult for me.
but without the bridge they still border eachother through the river. It would be quite something if riverborders wouldnt count, that would be like saying, no the countries arent bordering eachother, there is a mountain in the way, for some countries.
I just looked at google earth. Some reclaimed land west of the cbd makes it look like the city's giving birth to a swastika. Buddhist origins aside, it's a bit striking. It looked ok until 2012. I wonder if this is just a stage in the reclamation project.
Or is dogla305 stirring things with Northern Cyprus? [Took me a while to get your Ireland comment - kept thinking "Ireland doesn't have any overseas territories bordering other countries?!"]
May I suggest changing the title to "Neighbors of One Border Countries"? I think it does a little better of a job getting the point across. Regardless, this was a good quiz!
Whenever the description of a quiz ends "Get it?" you know it'll be poorly described. I suggest title: "Neighbors of Single-Border Countries" and description: "There are 17 countries that have only one land border each. Name the neighboring country for each of those 17."
It's not a simple question. Many international borders on the Arabian peninsula were not well defined until relatively recently. UAE's position is that Abu Dhabi extends all the way along the coast to Qatar, and that UAE has a land border with Qatar. Saudi Arabia claims that this strip of coast was transferred to Saudi in the 1974 agreement. In any event it is under Saudi control.
Hello, fellow JetPunk users! I've been working on a quiz for quite some time. It's easily been the most effort I've put into a quiz. I'm pretty unknown, so I'm commenting here to try and get noticed. Try my pretty hard quiz at https://www.jetpunk.com/user-quizzes/322930/word-scramble-all-countries
I just wish it were explained that countries that only share 1 common border should both be entered. For example when I entered UK and Ireland popped up, I didn't expect to also enter Ireland to have the UK to pop up...at least on the first try. Makes more sense after that fact, but it was confusing at first.
Lol. I got almost everything, but when I finally remembered the last one, I forgot the instructions and was stumped when typing Canada didn't work. Me dummy.
Instead of "Name the other countries they border" I would say "Name that country"
Ireland: 70%
Haiti: 77%
Dominican Republic: 65%
Forgets Ireland to get the UK
yes, idiot
