Guess the 1970s song lyrics #310

1977. The song was written by a New Orleans artist (not this guy). The lyrics were inspired by the songwriter's childhood memories of visits to relatives in the Louisiana backwoods and storytelling under the stars. This singer (yes, the guy pictured) liked the song because it reminded him of his own childhood on an Arkansas farm.
